Getting good financial advice will make you feel secure, in control of your affairs and give you peace of mind that you are on track to achieve your financial goals. An experienced advisor can help you save money, grow your assets, manage your debt, plan for retirement, protect against risk, reduce tax liabilities and plan your inheritance.
Having a plan in place also help to ensure your finances are in shape should you face any planned or unexpected life events, such as the arrival of a new family member, a redundancy, caring for an elderly loved one, facing illness or injury or wanting to renovate the family home.
A financial planner analyses’ your financial needs based on your individual circumstance, along with your short and long-term goals. The role of a financial planner is not to sell products, but rather provide advice and a strategy for implementation in order for you to achieve your identified financial goals.
Most people seek the services of a financial planner when they are:
- Looking to invest
- Buying a house, or paying off the mortgage
- Starting a property portfolio
- Getting married, or separating from a partner
- Starting a family
- Planning for retirement
- Setting up a self-managed super fund
- Needing to protect their financial assets
- Receiving a lump sum through inheritance or redundancy
- Struggling with debt management, or requiring a savings plan
Our team of professional, friendly and highly experienced advisors can be located Australia-wide. Depending on the area of your needs, we have specialists in mortgage advice, superannuation, taxation, wealth accumulation and asset protection, and of course, general money management. Once you find a financial planner with whom you are comfortable, a long-term relationship often develops with regular meetings to review your changing circumstance and needs. All our advisors are members of The financial planning association of Australia and The Mortgage Finance Association of Australia.
At ITP Financial Planning, your initial meeting with a financial planner is at no cost to you and obligation free, meaning if you decide not to pursue the services of a financial planner, you are not locked in and there are no hard feelings.
It is important for us to understand what your needs and goals are and determine how we may be able to assist. The amount of your existing assets or savings does not matter either. Each of our clients’ situations is unique and equally important to us. Before any implementation takes place, your advisor will ensure you understand and approve of any costs or fees associated with your tailored financial strategy.
Providing key documents, such as payment slips, tax returns, monthly budgets, investment and superannuation records, at your initial meeting, will help prepare you and your advisor for necessary and valuable conversation at this meeting. We also ask you to complete an ITP Financial Planning Questionnaire. This helps shed light on the state of your financial life, such as your assets and liabilities, your current income level and projected future income, the number of dependents you are responsible for and any credit or mortgage obligations you may have.
Your first meeting is obligation free and at no cost, where we introduce ourselves and our services, gather your financial information and determine your needs. It’s a relaxed meeting with one of our highly experienced advisors over a cup of coffee. It’s important that you feel comfortable with your advisor and this is a perfect opportunity for you to get to know the advisor and explore the potential relationship.
ITP Financial advisors have specialist knowledge and years of experience. Speaking with one of our advisors will help you define what your goals are and assist in putting the right strategies in place in order for you to achieve them.
